My Top 10 Games of 2016!

I’m back!… again and I’m here to share my top 10 games of 2016!It’s been a long time hasn’t it? I think the last time I wrote anything on here was almost 2 years ago. It’s been a interesting two years. I got pregnant a few more times and had a bunch of kids from Drakulus. We have four of them now and I love them all to death. I’ve become more of a gamer over the years. I wasn’t, and I’m still not, a hardcore gamer by any means, but I do enjoy sitting down with my husband and playing games with him. I won’t hold you guys up any longer so here is my top 10 games of 2016.

10. Grim Dawn

 

 

 

I’ve played a lot of Diablo III and I was ready for something different. Grim Dawn was that something for me. This game has great gameplay, loot, and character classes. It isn’t flashy like Diablo III and it doesn’t play as fast, but it’s fun and that’s all I wanted out of it.

9. Street Fighter V

I hate playing Drakulus in this game. He never lets me win. Would be so bad if he let me win 1 of the 45 matches that we did? Even though I lose a lot more than I win I still love this game and it’s gotten a lot better since it’s release.

8. Doom

Doom is my crack. I need it in my life because I can’t function correctly without it. Doom is fast paced, has brutal gameplay, great graphics, and really good level design. What more could a girl ask for in a FPS game.

7. The Division

It’s popular to hate on The Division these days. Everyone bashes it, but play shit like Destiny. The Division is a great game that I’ve put almost a solid 70 hours into. Drakulus got me into the game and I play with him almost every time he jumps on it. The Division is a beautiful game, has solid gameplay, nice loot, and has gotten a lot better since it launched near the beginning of this year.

6. The Elder Scrolls Online One Tamriel

I hated almost everything about this game when it first released. When ESO first launched it was a poor Elder Scrolls game and a average MMO. Fast forward a few years later and it’s my go to MMO. I don’t play it nearly as much as my husband, but I love it and it’s gotten so much better this year. I’m really looking forward to what the future holds for ESO.

5. Xcom 2

Xcom 2 is a great game, but I really suck at it. I can barely play it on easy mode, but that didn’t stop me from playing the shit out of it. I love the character creator, gameplay, and blowing shit up. If I can blow something up in a game I’ll enjoy. I’m a simple girl that loves explosions and Xcom 2 has plenty of them.

4. Dark Souls III

Dark Souls III is easier to get into than any of the previous games. I wasn’t a fan of Dark Souls until I played Dark Souls III and It’s the only Dark Souls game I’ve ever completed. At first the game is hard, but as I kept playing I got a lot better at it. I even managed to kill a few invaders in pvp. I’m so proud of myself :).

3. Pokémon Sun/Moon

I haven’t played Pokémon Sun/Moon all the way through, but I’m already in love with the game. It’s one of the best Pokémon games ever made. The new Alola form of classic Pokémon are fantastic and I can’t get enough of how adorable Ninetales is. OMG Ninetales is adorable!

2. Salt and Sanctuary

I never expected to love this game as much as I do. I get why people compare it to Dark Souls, but I think it’s more inspired by games like Castlevania. It’s fantastic and it has local co op. Drakulus, and I have almost 100 hours of gameplay in it.

1. Civilization VI

Just one more turn is what I was telling Drakulus when he asked for me to give him back his PC. Two hours I was still sitting in front of it trying to wipe Gandhi off the face of the earth. Civilization VI is a fantastic game and is the most content rich Civilization game we’ve ever had on release. We usually have to wait a year or two for Civilization games to get this good. I love this game!
