My Top 10 Worst Games Of 2014
I did my top ten best games of 2014. If you missed that than all you’ve got to do is click here to catch up. Today I will be writing about the games that pissed me off the most last year. It’s also known as my top 10 worst games of 2014.
10. Alien Isolation
Alien Isolation started off pretty good, but the fun I had quickly faded the further I got into the game. It goes from being a horror game to a FPS until all you’re doing is running and gunning for your life. This game is repetitive and stupid.
9. Lara Croft and The Temple of Osiris
Usually when a local co op game comes out my husband and I immediately purchase it and play it together. I remember liking the first Lara Croft game, but this one just bored me. I can’t quite figure out why, but I didn’t like it and I didn’t finish it with my husband this time around.
8. Magic 2015
I’m a huge Magic The Gathering fan so buying the next installment in the Duels of the Planeswalkers franchise was a no brainer for me, but Magic 2015 suffered from lack of content. There is nothing to do after you complete the main campaign and that really disappointed me. The difficulty also leaves much to be desired for seasoned Magic players.
7. Divinity Original Sin
I know a lot of people are going to disagree with me on this, but I didn’t like Divinity: Original Sin at all. The story was complete crap, the voice acting is horrible, most of the dialogue was a joke, and lack of content really killed this game for me. The gameplay was great, but that’s the only thing Original Sin had going for it. From the pic above one would assume that this game had romance in it, but it doesn’t. That’s not really a deal breaker for me personally though. The deal breaker for me was the shitty writing that was present in this game. It’s like they hired a 6th grader to write the whole thing.
Titanfall was a colossal disappointment. I was one of the people that loved the beta, but realized shortly after I brought the game that it lacked content and replayability. The “campaign” in this game is a complete joke. We had to wait months just to get decent DLC and none of them fixed the campaign. I’m done with Titanfall.
5. Guacamelee Super Turbo Championship
Guacamelee was a free Games with Gold game from Microsoft on the Xbox One. I’m glad I didn’t pay for this game because it sucks. I found absolutely no enjoyment in this game. The gameplay, characters, and story are all bad.
4. Lords of The Fallen
Lords of The Fallen is nothing, but a rip of Dark Souls. It’s not even a good copycat. This is more like Dark Souls lite than an actual Dark Souls game. They took just about everything from Dark Souls and pasted it in this game. How can you give a developer credit if they don’t have a single original thought in their game?
Destiny is one of the most overhyped games in existence. It was more hyped than Watch Dogs. Everything that Destiny tried to do it failed at. It failed at giving us an “epic” story, it failed on giving us interesting locales to explore, it failed at having deep character customization, and failed at providing us good content to keep us interested in the game. The only Destiny does get right is the gameplay, but if I wanted to travel around the moon shooting shit I’ll just go play Borderlands The Pre-Sequel because it’s a lot better than this shit.
2. Final Fantasy Lightning Returns
Why does Square Enix keep giving us more Lightning? Does the negative feedback not bother them? Are they in love with her? This is the worst Final Fantasy game I’ve ever played. They borrowed the clock system from Majora’s Mask and completely fucked it up. If you’re going to make an action game then make an action game. What we have here is just an abomination and I’m glad it flopped. Hopefully 15 will do much better.
1. The Elder Scrolls Online
Take everything you love about The Elder Scrolls and throw it out of a window. The Elder Scrolls Online fucked up one of my favorite games of all time. How hard is it to keep the features that made The Elder Scrolls great? The Elder Scrolls Online is the bare minimum of what you can expect in an Elder Scrolls game. Zenimax obviously knows nothing about making games and I hope they don’t ever make another game with The Elder Scrolls in it’s title.
That was one long rant, but I couldn’t help it because these games really piss me off. I wasted my time with them and I’m cringing inside right now at all the bad games I’m going to play this year. Until then I’ll be around doing random shit.
